This conference is structured differently than any of those in years past. We are calling this an "Unprogrammed Retreat".
The relaxed schedule will allow attendees to pick and choose the areas of knowledge they would like information on along with
the opportunity to practice techniques in ongoing open sessions, on a wide variety of labor and delivery models with the personal guidance of experienced
Certified Traditional Midwives whose diverse midwifery backgrounds span over 2 decades each.
You do not have to be an MSTM student to attend. Don't miss out on this affordable and unique opportunity!
This retreat will be held in northern Michigan at an exclusive math/science educational facility located at a remarkably
beautiful and scenic wildlife preserve on a private lake in Huron National Forest. This has been the sight of our
annual conferences for most of our 14 conference years and students traditionally leave feeling enriched and renewed not only for the stimulating
conference content but also for the rejuvenating rustic atmosphere where it is held. During past conferences, a vast variety of
free ranging wildlife has been viewed and appreciated with wonder including bald eagles (a pair nest on a small island on the lake!),
swans, turkeys, owls, deer, and black bears. Don't forget your camera for herb walks and nature hikes!
