Remembering Jeannie Parvati O'Brian Baker
1949 - 2005


A beloved teacher and friend to many passed away on December 1, 2005, in Joseph, Utah. Jeannine was born in Los Angeles, California, on June first, 1949. She and her family moved to Joseph in 1982 and two of her children, Quinn and Halley Baker were born there at home. Jeannine earned a B.A. in psychology and completed graduate work at the California State University. Author of several books on family health and wellness and hundreds of published articles for magazines and professional journals, she has been a featured speaker throughout the U.S. and the world.

Jeannine has been active for the cause of family health and strived to protect children by working to end routine circumcision and promoting gentle birth practices.

Jeannine Parvati Baker was a kind supporter of the American College of Traditional Midwives and its ideals beliving that birth truly belonged to women. Her gentle word wisdom will be missed.
