This is a two year course of study that combines the advantages of correspondence
learning with workshops or an optional workshop waiver. Through correspondence, foundations of basic academic principles are explored, analyzed and studied. Submitted work and research projects are evaluated, progress is monitored through periodic closed book self-assessment work sheets and many hands-on clinical skills are taught, evaluated and individually “checked off”, providing a permanent record during the annual workshops. Traditional Midwifery Diploma Program
Students wishing to gain a Certified Traditional Midwife (CTM) diploma must meet the general program requirements as stated above and then apply for CTM program extension to acquire the required, documented births, prenatal experience and preceptor evaluations.
